Applicable since 2011, a Building Energy Efficiency Certificate (BEEC) discloses current energy efficiency information at the time of sale or (sub)lease of office space of 2000 square metres or more. Penalties may apply in the case of non-disclosure. The BEEC includes a Commercial Building Disclosure Tenancy Lighting Assessment (CBD TLA), a NABERS Accredited Energy Rating, and general energy efficiency guidance.
